1. Service Description

Built For Genetics ("we," "our," "us") provides AI-powered genetic analysis reports based on raw DNA data you provide from consumer genetic testing services like 23andMe or AncestryDNA.

Our service analyzes specific genetic markers and generates educational reports about potential health predispositions, athletic traits, lifestyle factors, and other characteristics associated with your genetic profile.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this service
• You must own the genetic data you upload or have explicit permission from the data owner
• You must provide accurate account information

3. What Our Service Is NOT

Our service is NOT:

• Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• A substitute for professional medical consultation
• Clinical genetic testing
• A basis for making healthcare decisions
• 100% accurate or comprehensive

4. Limitations of Genetic Analysis

You understand and acknowledge that:

• Genetic predispositions are not destiny — environment, lifestyle, and other factors play significant roles
• Our reports are based on current scientific research, which is constantly evolving
• Not all genetic variants are well-understood by science
• Consumer DNA tests have limitations and may contain errors
• Population-specific research may not apply equally to all ethnic backgrounds
• AI-generated analysis may contain errors or misinterpretations

5. Your Responsibilities

• Consult healthcare professionals before making any health-related decisions
• Do not upload genetic data that isn't yours without permission
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Use the service only for personal, non-commercial purposes

6. Payment and Refunds

• Payment of $149 is required before uploading DNA and generating reports
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe
• Due to the immediate processing of genetic data and generation of reports, refunds are not available after you upload your DNA file
• If you experience technical issues before uploading, contact us for assistance

7. Intellectual Property

The reports generated for you are for your personal use. The underlying analysis methodology, software, and branding remain our intellectual property.

8. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data, including our commitment to delete your raw DNA data immediately after processing.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any decisions you make based on our reports
• We are not liable for any health outcomes
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Built For Genetics from any claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
